In my experience, it seems that some Atheists love when a natural disaster strikes in some part of the world. Because that gives them an opportunity to play their old, “God is evil for allowing this” card. As if that this their big “trump card” against God or something. In fact, on various forums and blogs I have seen so many atheists coming out and mocking God repeatedly.
These atheists I am referring to love saying things like, “God is evil because those innocent people died,” Or “How do you Christians Account for the Suffering in Haiti if God is So Good?” Or, “If God is All-Powerful, Why Didn’t He Stop the Earthquake?”
To me, I find these arguments and criticisms of God HILARIOUS and Juvenile! It shows you firsthand just how hypocritical some people are in the atheist community. So just for the record, lets briefly compare beliefs and see which one seems the most unjust, evil, and silly.
Beliefs About God & Suffering
The bible teaches that God loves all of His creation, and feels pain when we feel pain. It teaches that God is just, and one day all people will be resurrected and judged. It says that those who were righteous inherit eternal life-free of suffering and pain, with eternal existence. In other words, all people who deserve heaven get it. And since God knows all things and all deeds, He won’t get it wrong.
So what that means is this: When a little child gets smashed by a large building in Haiti earthquakes, it is a very sad experience and we all feel sadness for the pain that child felt. But we don’t look at God as “evil.” How is He evil, when he guarantees that child will now feel eternal peace and happiness? How is it evil when that child is resurrected right back to life, to stand for judgement?
Yet again and again some atheists I have spoken to online want to play the “God is evil card.” Really? So a God that allows temporary suffering is now evil? Even in the face of eternal happiness, peace, and justice? Wow, if that is evil, then give me some of that! Supersize me some evil! Especially when this “evil God” is compared to godless evolution and natural selection.
Beliefs About Evolution & Suffering
The hypocrisy of these atheists I spoke to comes blatantly clear once we compare beliefs. It becomes quickly obvious which is the real “evil” god, and which is the hypocrite.
Evolution and natural selection THRIVE on death. They offer no hope of justice. They care nothing about the tears streaming down your face. In fact, while some atheists like to mock God and say he allowed the death (which somehow makes Him evil even though He brings them back to life), they somehow forget that their godless beliefs of evolution and natural selection are responsible for EVERY DEATH on the planet since life began. Wow, sounds even more murderous than the God of the Bible to me, which offers eternal LIFE (not death).
Wow, and not only that, but when you factor in that there is no hope, no justice, no judgement, no peace, no happiness afterwards….just death….Wow. I think it is painfully clear which is more wicked: godless evolution by far.
Because from the view of evolution, that same child that was crushed by a building was cheated out of the 1 life it will ever have. It is simply because that child wasn’t biologically adapted to survive building crashing on it. Therefore, it died. Now that is what I call a waste of a life. That is what I call a sad life. That is what I call an INJUSTICE. A God that now comforts that child while it awaits judgment certainly is better than the evil wicked godless process of evolution which stripped that child of life leaving it for dead—permanently.
