How Would You Choose to Die? How Do You Want to Die?

This is a great question:

How would you choose to die if you had a choice? Mine would be i am 105 years old on my bed rest praising the lord kissing my kids ,and wife good bye and my grandkids and die while sayin my last prayer to God. How about you?

I hope I die like this:

I hope I am in old age but good health (late 90′s/early 100′s). I hope I have achieved all of my dreams, been to any vacation spots I ever wanted, made good money, seen every movie I wanted to see, read all the books I wanted to read, met any people I wanted to meet, enjoyed great health, and lived a happy and fulfilling life.

I hope I am 100% content and ready to die. I hope I continue to have incredible faith in God, and my family is ready and able to go on without me.

I hope I slowly slip into it, and peacefully come into the presence of God Almighty. I hope I have absolutely no regrets at all, no fear, and a sense of peace.

I hope I can look back on my life and think, “Wow, I have done everything I ever wanted. My life was filled with some sadness and bad days, but mostly wonderful, happy, peaceful, and successful days with God in my heart. I worked hard to live a life that glorifies God. I received everything I wanted. I had a heck of a time. What an incredible life!”

I hope I enter Heaven and spend an eternity with God, Jesus, my family, and others.

Are You Afraid of Death? I am Scared of Dying

Death is something we all think about many times in life. After all, it is strange the whole process of aging and then actually dying. I think we all have a fear of death (at least at some level).  I recently seen a question about death below:

Is anybody else except me afraid of death im scared to die? Im christian i believe in god and heaven and all that so why am i so scared of dying for?

That is a Great question! I think we have at least some fear of death. Even if we have a deep faith in God, there are still so many unknowns about what exactly happens at the moment of death. Plus, death sometimes involves physical pain during the moment we actually die (or the thing that causes death can hurt, ie a car crash).

Keep in mind that even Jesus felt some fear of death. The Bible indicates Jesus was sweating drops of blood, and even prayed to God asking to “remove this cup from me, but let your will be done.”

So it is completely normal that you have some fear of death. But stay strong. Have faith that even though we don’t know what we will see, feel, hear, etc, God will see us through and take care of us.

I try to equate the actual feeling of being extremely sick, and kind of fading into it. It just happens gradually like when we fall asleep every night. We are conscious one minute, but then gradually fade into it.

I like to remember stories of people that have had out of body experiences and near death experiences. It doesn’t sound so bad. From what I can gather, it seems as if our brains are pre-programmed by God to lead us into a bright comforting light, and we usually then enter the spiritual realm and/or the existence of God. There is always the description of this intense feeling of love and beauty.

So all in all, I don’t think death is really going to be that bad when it actually happens. Sure, I will even have some fear and sadness when I know I am going to die, but at the same time I will try and strengthen myself and prepare to give my soul back into the hands of the God that gave it in the first place.
