This is a great question below:
Why Won’t God Give Mankind Proof of His Existence Instead of a Bible? Maybe if He would prove He actually exists, more people would believe in Him and worship Him. But instead God doesn’t reveal Himself.
That is a great question. I think a lot of people have often wondered this.
I think what your question is really saying is this: Let God show me he exists, and then I will believe in Him and follow His commands-right?
But there are basic problems with this question:
1. The question assumes that God has done nothing more since the beginning of time to show He exists. This is not true, as the Bible is filled with stories all the way up to the time of Jesus/NT of God revealing himself in various ways.
2. God has performed miracles in the past, the Bible has archeological evidence to support its stories, there are eyewitness accounts, and more. There are also valid prophecies that did come to pass years later.
3. The last problem with this question is that people who ask this question often say that they need to see to believe. They say that if they could see God or proof of God that they would follow His commands.
But is that really true? Don’t we have enough evidence that smoking causes lung cancer? But people still smoke don’t they? Even if they see someone dying in a hospital from doing it.
Don’t we have enough evidence that eating too much food causes people to gain weight? But people are still overweight, right?
Don’t we have enough evidence that commiting a crime will cause us to go to jail? But the prisons are full aren’t they?
The point I am trying to make is people often say if they could see they would believe and change. But it simply isn’t true. Even in the first book of the Bible, Cain knew God existed and still rejected to live his own way.
Satan knows God exists, but became proud and wanted to be God himself.
So what good would it really do for God to go around writing His name in the clouds all day? People would still sin-regardless of whether they believed or knew he existed.
