A typical Christian Bible (Protestant) contains 66 books: 39 in the Old Testament and 27 in the New Testament. Each of these books were divinely inspired by God, and they were inerrant and infallible as originally authored. And despite attempts to “disprove” the authority and accuracy of the Bible, it stands stronger today than ever before. Scoffers may scoff, but the Bible is the Word of the living God.
Here is a list of the books of the Bible, in the order in which they are commonly arranged.

Memorizing the Books of the Bible
Once you have a list of the Bible books in front of you, you can begin to memorize the books of the Bible. Memorizing these books will help you tremendously when searching for passages, especially when following along with the pastor in church. It will also lay a solid foundation for the future as you begin to learn who authored each book, as well as the main message of each book.
To begin memorizing them, try to study a few at a time, and then repeat them aloud. Go over them several times until you can begin saying them without looking. Keep adding new books, and before you know it, you’ll have the entire list memorized.
It only took me a few hours to memorize the list; however, you should continue repeating them daily for at least 2-3 weeks to lock the information into your mind. Then do them at least once a week for a few more weeks. Eventually, you’ll have them all memorized for good (or until you get too old).
